First retrospective dedicated to Françoise Lacoste (1953–2025)

From 16 to 18 October 2026, the Chapelle des Cordeliers will host a retrospective dedicated to Françoise Lacoste (1953–2025), a discreet yet deeply committed figure in Toulouse’s art scene.

For the first time, this exhibition brings together her own artistic work, which has long remained
under the radar, alongside archive material tracing her career as an exhibition curator and her commitment to numerous contemporary artists.

More than just a tribute, this retrospective invites visitors to rediscover a figure who viewed art as a space for dialogue, transmission and freedom.

Organised with the support of the City of Toulouse and in partnership with Maison Mater & Filii, the exhibition will bring together paintings, graphic works, collages and works in various materials, archival documents, photographs and personal accounts, allowing visitors to trace a unique career deeply rooted in Toulouse’s cultural life.
