Major issues
Our ongoing challenge is to offer high quality champagnes, developed in compliance with the principles of sensible wine growing.
The environmental analysis of all the Champagne sector, conducted in the early 2000s, has identified four major issues:
1 |
MasteryMaster inputs and their potential effects on health and environment. |
2 |
PreservationPreserve and develop the soils, the biodiversity and landscapes of champagne (registered by UNESCO as World Heritage of Humanity). |
3 |
Responsible managingResponsibly managing the water effluents, by-products and waste. |
4 |
Energy and climate challengeRise the energy and climate challenge. |
An environmental management system “Champagne business” – which the House Mater & Filii is part – based on methods recognized at international level has therefore been set up to achieve the targets set in as part of an environmental policy established in the interprofessional level.
